Bye Bye Cigarettes...

Personal healthcare is vital in our life. However, people do smoke & drink occasionally for socialising with others. In due course of time, this turns out to be a habit that they cannot live without. Smoking can cause dreadful effects in a number of ways. One can prevent heart & lung diseases by not smoking. Regardless of how long you have been smoking, you can prevent further damage to your health by giving up. Consulting someone is not an only option & it is always good to make things straight on our own. Start with listing the reasons why you want to quit smoking, then work out the reasons why you smoke. Don't hesistate to ask your family and friends for support in coping with the temptation. Ex-smokers groups & telephone helplines can be helpful. A bright stress-free day would be a best choice to throw away cigarettes, lighters, ashtrays & everything that reminds it. Using Nicotine patches & gums can stop nicotine craving, which is the worst & common withdrawal symptom. Miracles don't happen very often, so don't rush things all of a sudden. Feel what your body says; Hear what your mind says: Work with perseverance... A day to say "Bye Bye Cigarettes..." is not far really.

Kindly have a look at my "External Links" section for the list of withdrawal symptoms & ways to cope with them.
